Its been an exciiting few months for TileClick and also very busy! So apologies for the lack of blog writing for our regular readers.

Where do we start! On the surface you may notice some changes, our expansion plans have been happening a bit more rapidly than we had anticipated, so over the last few weeks a number of collections have been brought on-line. These include the Continental and Elegance Collections.

Both of these collections have been carefully picked from a selection of hundreds of imported tile ranges. Why did we bring them online, well as the UK’s leading independent online tile reseller, we are always being approached to add new manufatcurers, suppliers, importers etc etc. Its never an easy choice to decide what to choose, so we focus on bathroom wall and floor tiles, kitchen walls and floors and general floor tiles, trying to cover as many bases as we can, to give our customers the best options of high quality tiles, that are backed up by tileclicks exceptional level of service.

We also consider the environmental impact, the UK already has a huge amount of tiles sitting warehouse to be sold, so why should we just add to that? There is no point! So we only target tiles already in the UK, helping reduce our carbon footprint.

In addition, we have to carefully make sure that the products that we put on our site are of a high quality, and this process is reliable, there are many cheap imports that are over priced to mimick a typically better made product, you do get what you pay for – one thing Tileclick ensure is that we are competitive and give good value for money, good product – good prices.

In addition to these two ranges, we are also busy expanding our stock of RAK ceramic products, we have been dealing with RAK for over 4 years now, and as in most instances, again were the first online seller of RAK products. These ceramic and porcelain tiles are extremely elegant and stylish and are made in the UAE.

Another exciting development is to be able to annnounce that we will soon be a key online reseller for Johnson Tiles, a traditional british manufacturer, based in Stoke on Trent, with Pilkongton now gone, and one of the UK’s most commonly known tile manufactures. We are working closely with sales managers and National Directors to produce a unique and stylish collection of tiles from Johnson.

TileClick are pleased to inform you about our current sale on Laura Ashley tiles by British Ceramic Tile. The sale must end Sunday 31st January 2010, so make sure you don’t miss out on some fantastic offers.  Laura Ashley offers a range of very popular, bathroom and kitchen tiles.  An example is the Isadore range which is a stunning collection of bathroom tiles.  If you want to create a fairly neutral design, this is easy to do so with the Isadore Plain white tile and prehaps a scattering of Isadore Floral white wall tiles.  However if you would like to create more of a feature with your bathroom design, the Isadore Floral Black on White and the Isadore Floral White on Black are ideal for this.

A very popular range of kitchen tiles by Laura Ashley is the Bramley range. These tiles are ideal for a country cottaage environment, with their small format and satin finish.  There are a number of different shades within each colour.  The colours in this range are as follows, Bramley Beige, Bramley Blue, Bramley Grey and Bramley Terracotta.

TileClick always try to stress the importance of ordering a sample before placing a main order.  Therefore, its worth just trying to be a little organised, by ordering a sample sooner rather than later so that you do not have to panic and buy the tile without seeing it, just so that you get the main order before Christmas.  By ordering a sample of a bathroom or kitchen tile, you can check to make sure that it is the right tile for you, rather than just relying seeing an image of it on your computer.

There will be more porcelain tiles, floor tiles, wall tiles, kitchen and bathroom tiles to choose from. One of our existing suppliers, manufacturer British Ceramic Tile are bringing out some new ranges! Although we dont have anymore information than that at this present moment, but we have managed to acquire more warehousing which is enabling us to carry a completely new and exciting range of tiles.

We have been searching for tiles to bring on board that will help to fill in any holes we have in respect of types and colours of tiles, but at the same time ensuring we find reliable and high quality products to add to our current ranges. We understand that choosing tiles is not an easy task so therefore, we have also tried to ensure we arent duplicating what we already have. We have however, removed some of the older ranges in some cases to make room for the new stuff which we hope you love!

There are new vibrant colours, but at the moment we are trying to work out range names and product descriptions! As soon as we have more, we’ll let you know.

Another very popular floor tile, currently in the sale is the Chess White Tile by British Ceramic Tile BCT03588.  These are currently available for only £11.56 (inc vat) per square metre.  They are a bright and fresh ceramic floor tile, often chosen to be used with a wide range of white wall tile designs.

The Richmond Range by British Ceramic Tile, is another popular range in TileClick’s sale.  The Richmond Mid Beige CAN38813, is a wall tile ideal for a neutral look and at just £8.99 (inc vat) per square metre which makes it an affordable option.  This natural stone effect ceramic tile, also has other wall tiles and complimenting floor tiles in the same range on sale too.

Remember most of the items on sale, will revert back to their normal, yet still competitive price at Midnight on Monday 21st September09.

With respect to the final product, at an internal standard, the thickness of a 148 mm x 148mm tile on average is 5.5mm, however the range is 5.2-5.6mm.

The thickness of a 198mm x 198mm tile on average is 6.4mm, however the range is 6.2-6.6mm.

The thickness of a 198mm x 248mm tile on average is 6.9mm, however the range is 6.7-7.1mm.

The thickness of a 248mm x 331mm tile on average is 7.8mm, however the range is 7.6-8mm.

The thickness of a 248mm x 398mm tile on average is 8.25mm, however the range is 8-8.5mm.

The Renaissance range is a new range this year, which combines a classic design with a modern twist.  The White Reflections CAN30107 is a 198 x 248 white gloss ceramic tile.  It has a subtle bumpy surface which adds interest to the tile as it reflects the light.
