Tiles are manufactured from natural materials and with the best will in the world there may be slight variances between production runs. For this reason most tile manufacturing operations will distinguish between runs by printing a batch number or code on the packaging.
The format of batching differs depending on which company made the tiles, some products will display a long code comprising of numbers and letters to ascertain details such as shade code, date of production and product quality. Products by Britsh Ceramic Tile would feature a 5 digit code on the bottom corner of the sticker probably starting 10, 11 or 12 but more recently they have gone on to adopt a simple system that shows the date that the tiles were made on the packaging.

Tile manufacturer British Ceramic Tile are in the process of introducing new trading names for internet companies selling their products.
The products are all exactly the same apart from the names, as an example Buxton is becoming Rock and Vivaldi are Vermont. The product codes are still staying the same so that the correct products are sent out to you, however when the tiles arrive with you they will still have the original labels on them with the orginal name so as an example if you order Rock Light Beige, the label on the box will say Buxton Light beige, but the product code of CAN42940 will be the same on the box.

Since TileClick Ltd launched the Cheston Mosaic Range of Mosaic tiles, we have been busy sourcing more stunning mosaic tiles to add to our range.
