Tile manufacturer British Ceramic Tile are in the process of introducing new trading names for internet companies selling their products.

The products are all exactly the same apart from the names, as an example Buxton is becoming Rock and Vivaldi are Vermont. The product codes are still staying the same so that the correct products are sent out to you, however when the tiles arrive with you they will still have the original labels on them with the orginal name so as an example if you order Rock Light Beige, the label on the box will say Buxton Light beige, but the product code of CAN42940 will be the same on the box.

We are hoping this change over does not create too many issues, but we will be more than happy to help any customers on the phone and BCT will also be happy to help verify any queries.

This change of direction by one of our main manufacturers has made us have a re-think about the home page layout and over the next couple of days a new tile selection process will replce our browse by collection section on the left hand side and the tile collection links will move to under our main rotating image.

Since TileClick Ltd launched the Cheston Mosaic Range of Mosaic tiles, we have been busy sourcing more stunning mosaic tiles to add to our range.

We were surprised how quickly the new range took off and it became apparent that we would be able to provide our customers more choice in the mosaic market.

Our Glass Mosaic’s were the first to pick up sales, available in a great selection of colours and at a great price we had expected this to be the case. One sheet of these, cut into strips is a really affordable way to create a border or feature in your bathroom or cloakroom.

Another popular choice is the Beach Pebble range of natural Pebble Mosaic Tiles these sheets are flexible to lay and have the added advantage that they can be used on walls and floors and can provide interesting and imaginative features, that can run continuously from a wall and across a floor. Availble in different colours and when these are sealed they really add a natural feel to any room.

We are still completing our sourcing programme for stage 2 of this collection of mosaic tiles, with focus on texture and contrast to enhance our current products. We hope to add more mosaic that are appealing for use in kicthens as spalshbacks, and for wetroom areas where smooth, ceramic or porcelain tiles are not favoured due to the slip factor.

TileClick are pleased to inform you that the very popular Fresco Octagon Floor Tile TCC3401 from the Continental Collection is back in stock.  It had been out of stock for a little while, just while we were waiting on a new batch to come in.  It is a simple and effective octagonal tile, to combine with the Fresco Black Taco TCC309.

This range is perfect for use in many areas throughout your home, such as a a kitchen or utility room.  The Octagon white floor tile is 308mm x 308mm and there are 10 tiles to a pack, which covers an area of 0.9 square metres.  The cost per pack is £28.93 (in vat).  One pack of the Black Taco is required per pack of ten main Octagon white, so with every pack of the Octagon white, you need to order a pack of Black Taco.

If you want to see samples of the tiles, before placing a main order you can order 3 different tiles for £4.99.  When your main order is over £100 (ex vat), you can have this refunded using a sample refund code.

Due to manufacturing and fuel costs, TileClick will also need to implement a price increase across the our products between now and early February. We have held our prices at the same rates for pretty much 2 years and we have managed to absorb increase costs in products and fuel up and till now. We are still looking into what this may be, as we are conscientious of the VAT increase and still want to provide our high, reputable service combined with great value.

The Cheston Mosaic range of mosaic tiles is proving to be a real hit since adding them to the website a couple of months ago.

TileClick were on the search for a source of good quality but also affordable mosaic tiles to sell on our website. Trying to combine quality with affordability and reliability of the ongoing supply is of high importance to TileClick.

The Alicante Range is one of our most affordable ranges, but when they are fixed youwould think they were from a much more expensive price band. Today is TileClick’s 6th birthday. The first version of our site was launched on this day 6 years ago.  Our initial bathroom tiles and kitchen tiles we considerably different and fewer than they are today.

Over this period of time, the need of the consumer and tile design have most definatley broadened, colours have become more vibrant and bold, while natural stone effect tiles have improved in their appearance and look more like the real thing than they ever have done.

So, over this time we have seen these changes occur, but a couple of ranges that have been there from the start are the Carrara range and Wiltshire range.

The Carrara range is a timeless classic design, by no way unique, but ever popular – a simple and very well made tile that replicates a much more expensive black and white marble tile we hope this continues for the next 6 years.

The Wiltshire range is a brilliant limestone effect ceramic tile, its effectiveness in re-creating a natural product has was has made this tile last in its popularity when many other ranges have come and gone through either lack of demand, or expenisve manufacturing costs.

As a reputable online tile supplier, we do specialise in sourcing high quality, innovative products that we feel we can bring to the market place at competitive prices – this takes an element of expertise as well as time to achieve this and this is and will remain TileClick’s main focus.

In the 6 years we have been trading we have worked on varying levels with bathroom installation companies, plumbers, and merchants so when an opportunity arose to work with someone with experience in the industry who was looking for a web presence, this partnership seemed like the natural thing to do.
