Have you ordered enough tiles?

When buying your tiles, TileClick cannot stress enough that you must allow for wastage and damages. The term wastage refers to the left over tile, after they have been cut, for edges and corners etc. Once a tile has been cut, the bit not being use is “wasted” so you will loose a certain amount of your tiles as they are fixed. In terms of damages, due to the nature of ceramic tiles, even the most professional tiler may break the odd one during cutting. Therefore its important to order more tiles than you need, for the following reasons, firstly if you run out and you have to order another box your new order will be under the £100 ex vat minimum order value, meaning you will incur a £30 delivery charge (which makes it an expensive box of tiles), secondly this will delay the work in your bathroom or kitchen and your tiler may not be available to finish the job and finally, its always worth having a spare box of tiles from the same batch, so that if you need to replace them at a later date you know that you will have a perfect match.

Adhesive and Grout Information

It is important to remember to choose the correct adhesive for use with your tiles. There are quite a few different types available, ranging from splash proof to water resistant, so make sure you buy the right adhesive for where your tiles are being fitted. The type of adhesive required also depends on what surface the tiles are being fixed to. If you are laying floor tiles make sure you use adhesive for the floor, as it has flexible properties to avoid damaging your floor tiles. If you are unsure about which adhesive you will need to use with your tiles, then please feel free to contact us here and someone will be happy to help.

Don’t forget to Order Sample Tiles!

TileClick strongly recommends that customers order sample tiles before placing their main order. By ordering a sample, you can see the tile to make sure that it is the right tile for you. This saves you having to pay the costs involved in returning the main order if for some reason you do not like the tile simply because you have not seen it, (you wouldn’t buy a car, without test driving it first!) If you are unsure of which design to choose, the £4.99 actually allows you to order up to three samples not just the one.

Let TileClick Warm You Up

With the weather outside getting worse, what better time is there to invest in something to keep you warmer.  Under Floor Heating is a fantastic and effective way to warm up your home.  As the name suggests, it is a heating system which is put in place under the floor, perfect to keep your feet nice and warm when you walk across your tiles on those cold winter mornings.

TileClick have two amazing Under Floor Heating options; the Under Floor Heating Cable Kits and the Under Floor Heating Mat Kits.  They all come with simple installation instructions and a Manufacturers warranty.  It is important to remember that the electrical connection must be completed by a part P qualified electrician.

Welcome to the New Tileclick Blog

Hi and thank you for taking the time to visit our blog.

This is a new blog for our re-designed website which went live on 4th July 2008. We had a comprehensive blog and gallery on our last website that was popular with our customers that helped keep people up to date with tile trends, image galleries, new product, tiling tips – pretty much anything we thought the public may be interested in having already arrived at our tile website.

At tileclick we have expanded our ranges of tiles, but still maintain our existing ranges including Laura Ashley, Wet by Hemingway Design and now the fantastic new range ‘tactile – by Studio Conran’
